(cont) today debuted in 1916 as one of the most unique piers along the coast. the curent pier was reconstructed in 196 with many historical similarities to the past. along the horseshoe shaped pier, you'l find plenty of specialty shops and great restaurants, including kincaids bayhouse and the historic old tony's, which ofer beautiful sunset views of the coast. the pier is also the spot to pick up some fresh saltwater tafy, buy an oyster pearl, check out a shark exhibit, or take a 25 cent lok at the coast. a fishing license is not required while fishing of california's public piers, but al other regulations aply. just watch out for the hungry pelic

pattywood317: i lived near this pier when it was almost destroyed by a fire. the pier seemed to struggled for awhile to recover and then i moved away shortly after. i am so happy to see that it has been rebuilt.
